Certifications and Accreditations
Cotecna is ISO 9001 certified for its inspection, testing, and verification services, and an ISO/IEC 17020 accredited inspection company, with ISO/IEC 17025 accreditations for its laboratories, and ISO/IEC 17021 or ISO/IEC 17065 accreditations for its certification bodies. It is also an established member of the TIC Council.
Group Certification
Cotecna’s ISO 9001 certification for its inspection, testing, and verification services is conducted by AB Certification on a multi-site basis for significant offices in our network. Full details of the scope of this certification can be found on the ISO 9001 certificate below.
All ISO 9001 audits performed by Cotecna’s certification body include the audit of Cotecna offices’ compliance with the relevant Codes of Practice established by the TIC Council.
Group Accreditations
Cotecna implements an Inspection Management System (IMS) accredited to ISO/IEC 17020 as an inspection body of type ‘A’ ("third party" inspection services). This accreditation is specifically designed for inspection companies and recognises the technical and management competencies of our Group in this area.
By obtaining this accreditation, Cotecna has demonstrated its capacity and competencies to operate globally, on a large scope of goods, respecting standardised processes while focusing on its clients’ needs.
The scope of the accreditation includes the inspection, sampling and weighing of agricultural commodities for offices operating as Approved Superintendents for the Grain and Feed Trade Association (GAFTA), in accordance with the GAFTA Code of Practice for Approved Superintendents.
Other Accreditations
Cotecna laboratories implement Laboratory Management Systems accredited to ISO/IEC 17025. Cotecna’s Product Certification activities are accredited to ISO/IEC 17065, and Certification of Management Systems to ISO/IEC 17021.
