Cotecna renews Bulk and Break Bulk Survey Accreditation in the Philippines

Cotecna’s accreditation for bulk and break bulk surveys in the Philippines has been renewed by the Bureau of Customs for a further 3 years.

Effective 17th January 2020, Cotecna received approval from the Committee for Accreditation of Cargo Surveying Companies (CASC) for the renewal of our accreditation for a further 3 years.

Launched in 2009 by the Bureau of Customs, the bulk and break bulk programme was designed to ensure the quality and source of shipments entering into the Philippines and curb the smuggling of goods into the country.

Under the requirements of the programme, all bulk and break-bulk cargo entering the Philippines must be inspected by an accredited surveyor, such as Cotecna, at their port of origin.

Cotecna was the very first company accredited by the Bureau of Customs to offer Cargo Surveys and Load Port Survey Reports for importers and exporters shipping bulk and break bulk cargo to the Philippines.

We can inspect all types of shipments exported to the Philippines, from agricultural commodities such as grain, to metals and minerals such as steel.
