Cotecna launches a food certification business in Sri Lanka
Cotecna Lanka, together with the support and guidance of Cotecna Inspection India, is pleased to announce the launch of a new business line focusing on Food Certification in Sri Lanka.
This service was launched at the Profood Propack & Agbiz Processed Food Exhibition held in Colombo in August 2018, and addresses the growing demand from companies in Sri Lanka to become certified in line with industry best practices.
To drive the development of this new offering, Cotecna Lanka appointed E. Sanjeevan as Food Certification Manager. Mr Sanjeevan is an IRCA registered auditor with extensive experience in Quality Assurance, Food Safety Management (HACCP, GMP), Health & Safety Operations and ISO Standard Development (9001, 22000, 14001 and 18001).
In parallel, the team is increasing its lab testing capabilities in the field of micro-biology. Cotecna Lanka’s latest business venture reinforces the company’s aim to strengthen its presence in the food segment.
