Cotecna reinforces its commitment to global food safety standards

Cotecna India now accredited to issue FSMS (Food Safety Management Systems) and IFS (International Featured Standard) certificates

Cotecna India is pleased to announce that it has recently been approved by the National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies (NABCB) as per ISO 17021-1:2015 , ISO 22003: 2013 and  as per ISO 17065:2012 (PCB) to issue the following certificates for a period of 3 years:

  • The FSMS certification also known as ISO 22000, which is a specially designed ISO series for the food industry. It relates to food safety compliance and is applicable across the entire food supply chain.
  • The IFS Food Version 6.1 scheme, which is a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), benchmarked standard for post farm stages of the food processing. The IFS 6.1 food standard is applicable to the food industries involved in processing or packing food products.

The certifications were received in March 2018 following the successful completion of office assessments and witness audits. Accredited certificates can now be offered globally for both schemes.

The NABCB provides accreditation to Certification & Inspection bodies and is a member of International Accreditation Forum (IAF) & Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (PAC) as well as a signatory to its MLA’s for QMS, EMS and Product Certifications, Global GAP, FSMS, ISMS.
