New EU Regulations on Chlorate Residues in Food

In response to new EU Commission Regulation (EC) 2020/749, we offer chlorate residue analysis to help clients ensure their products remain within maximum levels.

On June 4th 2020, Annex III to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 by the European Parliament was passed that sets a maximum residue levels for chlorate in or on certain food products, and requiring that food and feed business operators prove that their products fall within the permitted range.

To meet this requirement, Neotron, member of the Cotecna Group, can perform an analysis of chlorate by HPAEC-MS/MS technique, permitting to detect the residue with a limit of quantification of 0,010 mg/kg for most matrices.
