Cotecna appointed by AGANOR to support VOC programme in Gabon
Cotecna is pleased to announce that they have been appointed by AGANOR (Agence Gabonaise de Normalisation) to support Gabon’s verification of conformity programme PROGEC (Programme Gabonais d’Evaluation de la Conformité).
Cotecna has been mandated by AGANOR (Agence Gabonaise de Normalisation), to implement the Verification of Conformity (VOC) programme for goods imported into Gabon under the programme PROGEC (Programme Gabonais d’Evaluation de la Conformité).
Cotecna’s mandate consists in performing verifications, inspections and lab testing in order to issue Certificates of Conformity (COC) for goods complying with applicable standards. The objective of this programme is to better protect consumers from substandard, counterfeit and potentially dangerous goods.
A signature ceremony was held in Libreville on the 6th July 2020 in presence of the Ministry of Tourism and the Industry Hugues Mbadinga Madiya, the AGANOR General Director, Abdu Razzaq Guy Kambogo, and the Cotecna Gabon Country Manager, Demba Diallo.
Cotecna will officially start operations on 10th August and be able to issue a Certificate of Conformity required for Customs clearance. For more information please check out the dedicated programme page or contact us.
