SASO provides new support measures during COVID-19
As of Wednesday 15th April 2020, to help exporters and importers during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic SASO has decided the following measures:
- Reduction of the SADAD Fees to SAR 350 instead of SAR 500
- Factory Audits planned in April, May, June and July 2020 that will not be feasible due to lockdown, will be postponed. The audit will be performed at later stage on commitment basis from the exporter/manufacturer before the expiration of the Certificate
- Production lines visits are postponed, and certificates will be issued without this condition
- For goods needing a Quality Mark, Remote Audits will be carried out
As a reminder, earlier this month SASO had announcement the extension of e-certificates and the acceptance of laboratory tests from the past 3 years.
